Happy New Year!!
At the end of every year, I like to reflect back on the past 12 months and really focus on all the great things that have happened and look at my progress towards my goals. One thing I try to do is at the end of every month write a quick reflection of everything that happened that month. It’s kinda like doing a mini celebration each month. One reason I like doing this is because sometimes I forget all the little things that I accomplished or things that we did that really brought joy into our lives.
One thing I plan to do this year that I saw on Facebook or Instagram is to get an empty jar and each week write a note with a good thing that happened on it. I even plan on having my kids do this. I think this is a great way to see all the good things that happen in our lives. Too often we focus on what we are lacking or how things are not going the way we would like for them to. Doing this activity will shift our mindsets to one of gratitude and to see the many blessings we have.
Looking ahead to 2020, I am super excited about all the possibilities.
I love goal setting and planning no matter what time of year it is but especially at the beginning of the year. It is like a fresh new start. When I set goals at the beginning of each year- I have a couple of categories that I always focus on: Family, Spiritual, Health & Fitness, Financial and a Business Goal. Some other areas you could set goals are self -development, education, relationship, psychological goals, goals centered around experiences or philanthropic goals.
I definitely encourage you to do your own review of 2019 and try to do more of the things that brought you joy and less of the things that didn’t. Also, set some goals for 2020. They can be as simple or as grand as you want. I’d love to hear about some of your best memories from 2019 and your goals for 2020.
